Le rechauffement climatique s'aggrave En début d’année, on apprenait que le mois de janvier 2016 avait été le premier mois de l’année le plus chaud jamais enregistré
sur la planète. C’était aussi le 9ème mois consécutif pendant lequel la
température moyenne sur la planète battait un record mensuel. En
février, les choses ne se sont malheureusement pas améliorées. Selon les chiffres de laNASA,
février 2016 a été plus chaud de 1,35°C par rapport à la moyenne et bat
ainsi les records de chaleur sur la planète depuis que les relevés
fiables existent (XIXè siècle). Il devient le 10ème mois consécutif à avoir vu une température moyenne battre un record mensuel. “Je
pense qu’on savait tous que ce serait une année chaude à cause du
phénomène El Niño, mais je pense que personne ne s’attendait à un record
de chaleur aussi important”, a déclaré le climatologue Michael Mann. Les chiffres de l’Agence américaine océanique et atmosphérique (NOAA) seront dévoilés jeudi, mais ne devraient pas différer de ceux de l’agence spatiale américaine. |
